Mark Norman
Mark is a managing partner of FM Capital, a venture capital fund focused on technologies transforming the transportation industry. Mark is responsible for fund leadership, investment strategy and portfolio management.
Previously Mark was president of Zipcar, where he led the company’s expansion creating the world’s largest carsharing network. Mark and the team managed the company’s IPO on the NASDAQ and subsequent sale to Avis Budget Group. Mark has significant experience leading both early stage and global businesses, including roles as CEO of Flexcar, a vehicle subscription company, CEO and Chairman of Chrysler Canada, and Managing Director of Summit Systems, a European technology startup. Mark was also a top operating executive for The Herb Chambers Companies, the 6th largest privately held automotive dealership group in North America.
Mark and Chase met when Mark was an independent director of Toronto-based SCI Ltd., the acquirer of Chase’s company MarketQuiz. Mark has served on the boards of two dozen companies as an investor or independent director.
Mark holds a BA from Rice University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Mark and his family reside near Boston.
